I know it sounds kind of funny, because it is typically such a breakfast dish, but it is so nice and filling without feeling heavy that when you are hot and lazy a bowl of fruit and nuts actually works really well as an end of the day meal.

1 1/2 cups Rolled Oats
1 cup Hazelnut Meal (or almond)
3 tablespoons Granulated Sugar
3/4 cup Whipped Cream (can be substituted for plain yogurt)
1/2 cup Milk
2 cups Fruit of your choice (chopped) *
Squeeze of Lemon Juice
*apples, plums, apricots, berries, bananas, oranges etc.
Making a Bircher Muesli is so straight forward and easy, there is really nothing to it. Simply add all your ingredients to a bowl and fold everything gently together.
Some suggest to make it in advance so that the oats soak in the yogurt or cream and the flavors can all have a chance to mingle together. I personally like to eat it when it is freshly made, but if you do make it ahead of time, just be aware that it will thicken slightly. If you like a smoother texture, just add a little more milk and give it another stir.
