    Homemade Pumpkin Spice Blend Recipe

Now that we've embraced the wonders of pumpkin spice, how about we make some of our own? That way, you'll always have some at the ready when a craving hits!

    • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon

    • 2 teaspoons ground nutmeg

    • 2 teaspoons ground ginger

    • 1 teaspoon ground cloves

    • 1 teaspoon ground allspice

    Instructions:

    1. In a small bowl, combine the ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, ground ginger, ground cloves, and ground allspice.

    2. Mix well until all the spices are thoroughly combined.

    3. Store your homemade pumpkin spice mix in an airtight container or a spice jar for future use.

  2. In a medium mixing bowl, combine the pumpkin puree, milk, chia seeds, maple syrup, 1 1/2 teaspoons of your homemade pumpkin spice blend, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Stir well to combine all the ingredients.

  1. Let the mixture sit for about 5 minutes, then stir it again to ensure the chia seeds are evenly distributed.

  2. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a lid and refrigerate it for at least 3 hours, or overnight. The chia seeds will absorb the liquid and thicken the pudding.

  1. In a separate bowl, prepare the pumpkin spice yogurt topping. Combine the plain Greek yogurt, pumpkin puree, honey (or maple syrup), 1 teaspoon of your homemade pumpkin spice blend, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth and well combined.

  1. Once the chia pudding has set, give it a good stir. If it's too thick, you can add a little more of your preferred milk to achieve your desired consistency.
